I hadn’t done a review in awhile because I had my nice little arsenal of health stuff. Recently I had to make some changes. One was prompted from getting a case of breakthrough oral thrush after a change in some medicines. The other was because I finally made the leap to get an iphone 7plus since I was due for an upgrade.

It’s Not Up To Those Who Are Hurting To Make YOU More Comfortable With THEIR Pain…
One of my volunteer friends died a few days ago. A few mutual friends & I were talking not just about memories but also some really raw & visceral reactions from others in regards to our friend’s death being made public.
A Tiny Blip…
Just before my last appointment, I found out I had A1 rejection.
This is very common in the first year of transplant & sometimes even happens to people in the hospital before discharge from their surgery.

There’s No Place Like Home
I have been away awhile.
Since the last update I did have to go back to the hospital and was there most of January.
Turns out, the rest of my body didn’t like my first set of drugs (cocktail). I’ll spare all the gory details, but it WAS NOT fun.
Week 1 Post Transplant Rehab Complete
I completed my first week of post transplant rehab. I did a mile on the treadmill in about 25 minutes which I wasn’t sure I’d be moving at that great a clip so soon. So that was a pleasant surprise.
Transplanted!
Just a short entry for those who have been following my blog but haven’t heard. I received my double lung transplant on December 2nd. I was released from the hospital on December 13th.
I am quiet because I’m adjusting to new meds & new routines & I tire easily. I had my first outpatient rehab session Thursday the 15th to get tested & baselines for starting next week.
