REBLOG: How To Give Advice Without Being A Condescending Asshole

I know some of my Facebook friends might be put off by the title, but still…

This article is well worth a read & that’s why I’m sharing it. (Even if it is from 2011, it still rings as true today.)

Mark Manson is totally on point with this one.

This is good life advice period! (It’s not just for dealing with people with chronic illness or a specific issue or problem. )

I’d encourage others to check out more of his work.

His archive seems to have a wide range of interesting perspectives on many different subjects.

I may not agree with them all or only in part with some, but they definitely get me thinking.

He even talks about things that I don’t see many people discussing or contemplating. I like that.

I've been a rare disease advocate for quite some time. I have LAM (lymphangioleiomyomatosis) and TSC (tuberous sclerosis complex). My LAM is severe enough that I needed a lung transplant. Now my TSC has progressed to the point where I now need a kidney. I maintain this blog to raise awareness of my diseases, rare diseases, transplant, organ donation & discuss other important healthcare topics and life with chronic illness.
