Giveaway Coming up – Temu Medical Haul!

Since I’m resurrecting my blog now, I thought it would be fun to order useful medical items for around $35 on Temu and test them out, then give them away. I was bored yesterday and was browsing YouTube and found many cool techie videos on Temu items. I thought why not do the same with some healthcare stuff for chronic illness?

I would not recommend using these as primary or standard devices, but if you wanted a backup for your phone, purse or travel and don’t want to break the bank, I thought it would be fun to try some of these out.

Here’s a list of what I ordered:

  • 20 piece disposable gloves
  • a portable pill taker (like a pill puncher – good for those tiny blister packs)
  • 1 animal pouch (for the stuff)
  • 1 pill cutter/splitter
  • 1 finger oximeter bag
  • 1 portable stethoscope
  • 1 instant read thermometer
  • 1 plastic multi-compartment pill box
  • 1 pair of motion sickness/anti-nausea bands
  • 1 pair of anti-slip arthritis gloves
  • 1 finger oximeter

As a bonus, I’ll also test and include one (in a set of 3 10 ft) charging cable for iPhone/iPad (this link might be good in a to-go bag for an ER visit or hospital stay)

I paid a little less than 38 dollars for all of these items. The most expensive item was the 3 pack of charging cables for $8.49.

If these are good, I’ll move on to testing a portable nebulizer and blood pressure monitor at some point. I wanted to test some of these devices to really see if they are accurate or up to FDA standards like they claim in the listings.

But right now I wanted to keep each of these items (minus the bonus) to $5 or less.

I will later also do a dialysis care pack Temu haul to test out some tote bags, blankets, neck pillows, travel pillow (for arm), a wheelchair or seat cushion, an external battery pack for a smartphone, headphones (corded — because most centers’ TVs are older), a smartwatch with medical capabilities, a cheap android tablet (for e-reading/games), an Apple Pencil for an iPad, a page magnifier, and other things that can be useful for dialysis. I’ll get some gauze pads, coband, and tape to test/compare to what I’ve used for emergencies to keep in a bag or car. I’ll probably do this as an end-of-year giveaway bundle.

If you find something you want me to test out just let me know. Additionally, since I placed a few orders and needed some things, I’ll write it up in a post if I find something worthwhile.

But I am curious, so we’ll see how this goes.

UPDATE: I just found out that Temu uses slave labor. I did not realize this before. As a result, the year-end giveaway will be different since I won’t place future orders from Temu. However, I will be testing these items’ quality to ensure they aren’t getting ripped off if people are ordering.

I've been a rare disease advocate for quite some time. I have LAM (lymphangioleiomyomatosis) and TSC (tuberous sclerosis complex). My LAM is severe enough that I needed a lung transplant. Now my TSC has progressed to the point where I now need a kidney. I maintain this blog to raise awareness of my diseases, rare diseases, transplant, organ donation & discuss other important healthcare topics and life with chronic illness.
